Markdown Renderer for GitHub Pro is the paid edition for teams and commercial WordPress sites that need license-managed Pro capabilities as they are released. The Free edition on WordPress.org remains the canonical home for the mature rendering engine: GitHub-flavored Markdown, Shiki highlighting, Mermaid, Chart.js, PlantUML/Ditaa, multilingual routing and SSR are included in Free.

Installation
- Download the Pro ZIP from the purchase email or customer portal.
- In WordPress admin, open Plugins -> Add New Plugin -> Upload Plugin.
- Upload the ZIP, install it, and activate the plugin.
- Open Settings -> Markdown Renderer -> License.
- Paste the license key and select Activate.
- Use Recheck after renewals, plan changes, or site migrations.
Keep the license key private. Do not commit it to a repository, paste it into public support forums, or share it outside the sites covered by your plan.
License Management
- Activate connects the current WordPress site to the license key.
- Deactivate releases the current site from the license key when moving to another site.
- Recheck refreshes the license state after payment, renewal, cancellation, or support changes.
- Automatic updates are available while the subscription is active and the site remains within the plan limit.
- If a subscription expires or is canceled, the installed plugin keeps running, but Pro updates and priority support may stop until the license is renewed.
FAQ
Is this a lifetime license?
No. The launch plans are annual subscriptions: Personal $39/year, Freelancer $79/year and Agency $149/year.
Are Chart.js, PlantUML, Mermaid, multilingual support and SSR Pro-only?
No. These mature rendering features are included in the Free edition and remain available on WordPress.org.
How many sites can I use?
The site limit depends on the plan: Personal is 1 site, Freelancer is 5 sites and Agency is 50 sites.
